Basic Medicare Supplement coverage including Part A coinsurance and hospital costs.

Medigap Plan A is the most basic Medicare Supplement plan. It covers Part A hospital coinsurance and costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are exhausted, and Part B coinsurance. It does not cover the Part A deductible, skilled nursing facility coinsurance, or foreign travel emergencies. Plan A has the lowest premium of all Medigap plans.
